CCI Large Magnum Rifle Primers, #250 Box of 1000 (10 Trays of 100)
CCI Large Magnum Rifle Primers are tested and upgraded on a regular basis. As a result, CCI primers are more sensitive, easier to seat, and more compatible than ever with progressive and automatic loading equipment. For the cleanest burn possible, they use current non-corrosive and non-mercuric initiator blends.
What is the difference in CCI primers?
the main difference is the thickness of the cup. the mags generally have a thicker cup and therefore can take hotter loads–more pressure. i cant speak for all primers and type. the cci 400 and 450s, wolf small rifle/ small rifle mag have different cup thicknesses with the same primer composition.
What is the difference between large rifle and magnum primers?
Essentially a magnum primer burns with more intensity than a standard LR primer. They are intended for use in a larger case burning more powder (generally known as magnum cartridges, but not always). If you use a standard LR primer in a magnum case you MAY get inconstant ignition of the powder
